Approximately 1000 BC, during the Shang Dynasty, hieroglyphs showed evidence of Acupuncture and Moxibustion. At the same time bronze needles were excavated from ruins. The first book written about acupuncture appeared approx 305BC. This was The Nei Jing or Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine.
